Burberry
Check prints, sea breeze, and British attitude
Burberry kicks off Summer 2025 with a campaign that’s sun-drenched, salt-sprayed, and just the right amount of cheeky. Shot aboard the playfully named Check Mate, the visuals bring a mix of heritage cool and yacht-deck irreverence to the forefront.
Framed by the lens of British seaside nostalgia, the campaign stars Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and tennis talent Jack Draper, with Alva Claire and Babacar N’Doye rounding out the crew. Together, they embody a high-summer mood: carefree, windswept, and unapologetically bold.

Daniel Lee describes the campaign as a “British celluloid postcard”—a” nod to Burberry’s archival yachting imagery that has been reimagined for warmer waters. Swimwear in signature check, fluid shirt dresses, silk co-ords, and nautical layers anchor the collection, while espadrilles and slides make it clear: this summer is for both style and spontaneity.

Whether it’s lounging in the sun or making a splash off the yacht, the wardrobe is designed for movement, ease, and a hint of mischief.
To celebrate the launch, Burberry is also setting up sun-soaked pop-ups in Somerset and Ibiza, extending the campaign’s breezy energy beyond the frame.
