Fendi Unveils their Spring 2024 Collection

Fendi Unveils their Spring 2024 Collection

Last Thursday, Fendi opened the doors of their brand new Tuscan factory to welcome guests to their Spring 2024 Menswear show. Triumphing the new atelier, the catwalk was a celebration of the team of artisans behind the iconic design house, many of whom were present and working whilst the show was underway, cutting leather and stitching garments for guests to admire.

It is perhaps unsurprising then that the show themed its looks around workwear, having models walk the runway in tool belts, leather aprons, and silk shirts patterned with tools and instruments used within the same walls in which the show took place.

The collection is a beautiful reimagining of the workwear trend, elevating the everyday uniform to something luxe and truly elegant. Even the subtler looks had their roots in the working wardrobe of the brand; suited models wore name tags and carried leather briefcases, monogrammed coffee cup carriers, suggestive of team meetings in the boardroom. Others were adorned with tape measures, or garments with visible stitches for all to see, despite this, no part of the collection felt undone. True to the nature of the Fendi man, the collection was chic, clean and luxurious, in part this was guaranteed by the choice of fabrics - buttery soft leathers took centre stage, as well as floral jacquard sets, the flowers symbolic of the flora surrounding the factory.

A well deserved and thoughtful celebration of those key to the brands lasting success, the show finished with a team of artisans following Silvia Venturini down the runway to take their thanks from the Pitti Uomo attendees.
