Death and his Family - a photography submission by Dongju Daniel
I have always believed that the power conveyed through photography has a completely different impact on human lives in comparison to what music offers.
There are various genres of photography, but my passion lies in film photography. The experience of shooting, developing, and scanning films to share the final photos with others provides a unique experience for both photographers and audiences, different from digital photography.
On the day I took the photos, I was walking around the streets with my film camera as usual, unaware that I would come across a funeral procession. Somehow, I ended up following the funeral procession all the way to the burial service.
Many people who had crossed paths with the deceased attended the funeral procession and the burial service. They attended to honor the memory of the deceased and bid their final farewells.
Through these photos, I wanted to convey that one person's life touches the hearts of numerous individuals they encounter from birth to death. When humans are born, they encounter numerous people as they journey towards death. I aimed to capture a glimpse of how the life of the deceased had influenced the hearts of people, especially their family.
